Changing the content of a post

Post by Woody2 »

It seems that people who can't raise their personal energy to post a new topic, are very enthusiastic when it comes to diverting the OP thread into a completely unrelated subject, effectively ending any further discussion of the original topic.

The 'administration' seem unable or unwilling to curtail this abuse, particularly if the original subject conflicts with their views!

Maybe there is need to incorporate some more additions to the rules of posting to curtail or better still end this practice, since it is not conducive to an open forum as it can be perceived as passive bullying?

I think that calling the fact that threads deviate, abuse, is a bit strong. As with normal conversation, topics always will vary, and if we take it that we must never deviate from the original topic, how utterly boring that would be.

To control normal discourse is surely abuse of power.

Not really to control, more to contain within the subject of the discussion.
Really it boils down to the simple option, if you don't want to participate in the ongoing discussion, don't contribute an alternative discussion to deviate to another subject, create your own thread!

About time Too - Obviously just out to bait other posters and intent on being barred with his attitude - I was just about to declare him a K**B H**D but you would have probably changed it to Doofus anyway

I don't know why he was so angry but I seriously cannot be bothered with wasting any time with people like that.
