Bandits about
Beware, the wiper crooks are operating in the new Lidl car park. Saw them at it down stairs and a friend reported them up in the main car park
Re: Bandits about
They were also in Lidl Mesogi Road and Paps Polis in the last couple of days. If they see you taking a picture they back off really quickly.

Re: Bandits about wiper guys
Hi
They have been operating across the island for 7 years.
In Pafos they have been in the Neon Mall before Lidl opened and seen buying wiper blades in Superhome. Pissouri had a meeting with the police it was stated on FB regarding Paps there recently.
Taking photos hasn't worked so far for me or reporting to the police or store concerned.
They operate even at Timi market.
In Pafos they have approached me at Sklavenitis, Lidl mesoyi/tok, Paps town centre/Chloraka, Zorbras and Hellenic opp Sklavenitis, Papanoniou bakery, Chloraka, Smart, Garden of Eden, Alpha mega Kato etc. they have been at Phillips too but he came out straight away and got rid of them.
Please be aware they now carry razor blade and knife and damage your wipers, even while your away from your car. They demand up to 180e. Several gangs in operation and they can be aggressive. I am in my late 60s, female and walk with a stick. I now carry a personal alarm and use it regularly. I am often left shaking and in tears. My wipers are tied on with cable ties as well. It's not even about the wipers anymore for me its the fear of the way they are towards you. I have witnessed them trying to steal a tourists shopping from the back seat of a car from a lady with a baby at Lidl TOKs. I bravely went over and got rid of them.
It's also been documented in the newspapers.
Going to a supermarket was my social life here.
The only places I haven't seen them is Kings Avenue Mall and Alpha Mega the large one.
If people stopped buying the blades they would give up eventually. I don't know how we can resolve this constant harassment.
