Interesting article in today's press, showing that photo-voltaic systems on Island produced 500 MW at peak hours, while wind power contributed only maximum 10 MW.
Its not a surprise for me as I can see the large wind park near Kouklia from my place and most of the time the windmills stand still or turn only a little bit.
On the other hand I wonder that EAC's grid is working well, in that heat and that demand in electricity, even when they blame photo-voltaic many times is responsible for grid problems, which is not. PV is helping that their old power lines can cope these days...
