Chemicals for Cockroaches

Post by glang3000 »

Hi all,

Just found between 40 and 100 cockroaches running around my bathroom, used a whole tin of spray to kill them but I assume my drains need some treatment to kill them. can anyone tell me what to put down the drains and where to get it or the name of someone who does this job?

Many thanks in advance.

Go to PlantFix store, on Polis Road, almost opposite London Garden Centre. I bought a chemical mix for the drains. It was a dilatable solution and it worked great. Can't remember name of it as it was a few years ago now.

Used the same stuff from PlantFix - stinks like hell but works. They have two versions - one for down the outdoor drains and one down the plug holes. Most of the agricultural supplies places have the same stuff e.g Premier Shukuroglou. The little tubes by Aroxol you can get from Lidl / Alpha Mega /Papantoniou - in a small green tube for cockroaches and red for ants are very effective and economical, picked up another tube of the ant one from Lidl this morning.

Alternatively ProPest are good if you want to go down the contractor route.

Hi all,

Thank you all ever so much for the advice, I was going to the Esso garage anyway this morning for a car wash so I took Jimgym's advice and crossed the road to Plant fix, spoke to a wonderful young lady who supplied a bottle, sounds the same as he had, for 16 Euro, I have sprayed the drains and chased the escaping Cockroaches around the garden giving them a good spray, think I will do it every week for a couple of weeks just to make sure.

Just a thought, is this chemical harmful to pets, if it's sprayed in the garden?
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.
