Hot summer on the way...

After relative cool temperatures this week, hot summer is on its way, reaching 40c first time this year in Nicosia next Tuesday.

It is nearly every year the same: as soon as the school holidays start, the real summer arrives. As we had very little rainfall April/May (I measured in this two month 6mm/m2 only) members with gardens need to increase the watering of their garden plants, specially when they are newly planted.
When I harvested my peaches last week, the size was only half of the normal, however the taste was fine and less worms.

But I am sure tourists from GB or Germany will love that weather as in their countries it is raining too much the last weeks/month.....

The topic was: Hot summer on the way.... however I did not expect that the temperatures will be so high, specially at night.
Last night I was glad running the air-con in my bedroom on 26c while the lowest outdoor temperature was 31.4 and 32.8 ( 2 different places) though near the house wall. Can't remember this kind of temperature in the first week of June, yesterdays highest was 38.9c at 2 PM.
So real Summer arrived.... with no way that I will have a sunbath for vitamin D production
By the way: Sunday supposed to be 10 c cooler

I believe that's wishful thinking.... no sign of thunder at German weather forecasts, however my bucket to measure it is ready and waits

Could not measure any rain, not even raindrops that morning, however I am still waiting for the afternoon thunders and rains Saturday/Sunday which you predicted
