Driving back from Pissouri the other day, we took the scenic route via Aphrodite's Rock. The journey never ceases to impress with its breathtaking views. If you travel it for the first time, be sure to stop at one of the designated parking areas to take in the scenery. Just make sure you stay the right side of the barriers though, as it is a long way down.

Before the motorway was extended to Paphos, we had to use that road from the other end of the Island. A beautiful drive.

Yes, I remember those days! One never knew how long it might take to drive to either Limassol or Nicosia. If we had to go to Nicosia we usually checked into a hotel there.
Although the old road passing Aphrodites Rock was a lovely drive, it would also depend on how much traffic, particularly the old lorries were using it.
Now- a-days, its a breeze with HGV's rarely using it..
