GESY Dermatologist
GESY Dermatologist
Can anyone recommend a Paphos based GESY dermatologist, preferably with a short waiting list.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: GESY Dermatologist
Hello, you may need a referral from your GP, but if you wish to pay then you just need to phone your choice of hospital and get an appointment, I have never needed to wait same day survice, I use the Iasis and on Gesy!
Good luck.
Good luck.
Jim.
Re: GESY Dermatologist
Hello! I saw a Gesy Dermatologist yesterday. You will need a referral form from your GP for GESY, mine gave me a form and a list of dermatologists in the scheme to contact myself. I was seen within the month, and an appointment made for the treatment in one month's time.
Re: GESY Dermatologist
Incidentally, the initial consultation cost 6 euros. The treatment cost will depend on the length of time involved and so on ...

Thanks for the replies.
Yes, we have a referral but don't know anyone on the list so we thought we could ask on here. The names we have are: Dr Androulla Vassiliadou, Dr Vera Politou, Dr Eliada Kyriakidou, Dr Georgina Myria Sarika, Dr Christoforos Loizides.
Has anyone been to any of them?
Thanks

Re: GESY Dermatologist
I would recommend Dr Christoforos Loizides at We Care but you will have to wait quite a while for your first appointment as like all the dermatologists he is very busy.
Re: GESY Dermatologist
Also recommended by my wife, though very popular so can be a wait for an appointment.LouiseCastricum wrote: ↑Tue May 23, 2023 10:58 am I can recommend Dr Iliada Kyriakidou and allso her daughter Dr Myria Kyriakidou. Both GESY

Re: GESY Dermatologist
Last year when I needed to see a Dermatologist I wasn't too concerned about which one I saw, so I contacted three of them and was informed of their waiting lists (which started at 6+ weeks - maybe much sooner now) and I was told to leave my name and contact number. I received a phone call about 3 days later and saw the Dermatologist the following day. In the meantime I informed the other two Dermatologists that I had managed to get an appointment and thanked them for their time. I have since used the same method when eg needing an ultrasound scan.kansas wrote: ↑Tue May 23, 2023 10:51 am Thanks for the replies.

Re: GESY Dermatologist
I have recently used one that is not on Gesy and he saw me without an appointment. It was 80 euros for diagnosis and treatment there and then. I thought in my case it was better to get things seen to immediately

Re: GESY Dermatologist
Trev, thank you. Can I ask if that was Dr Yianni, close to the centre of Papantoniou?
Re: GESY Dermatologist
Kansas, yes indeed it was.. I had treatment from him when he was in Gesy, and you can hardly see the scar. This is why I was prepared to pay for the most recent treatment

Re: GESY Dermatologist
I have been to Dr Yiannis Neophytou and to the mother/daughter team as well. Perhaps it was just bad timing but their waiting rooms were packed and frantic and I felt I was on an assembly line.
Prefer Loizides. Very skilled, knowledgeable and calm. Downside is he spends some of his time practicing in Greece, but I always wait for him if I can.
I think all the dermatologists mentioned here are fine, but we just need more dermatologists in Paphos!

I saw Dr Sarika. My appointment was for 1.30pm and I was seen at precisely 1.30! There was no-one else waiting when I was there. Her waiting list is currently approx. 1 month. I haven't had my treatment yet but she was delightful, put me at ease straightaway and explained very carefully what would happen and any aftercare I would need. She was highly recommended to me and I am now not at all nervous about the treatment.
Re: GESY Dermatologist
Perhaps best to telephone Iasis on Monday and speak to the receptionist. Tel. 26848484.
Quite a few Specialist Doctors work in one or more clinic/hospital and in Nicosia/Limassol as well as Paphos and have a certain day each week when they are at a particular clinic/hospital.
Re: GESY Dermatologist
Just to give you some feedback.........
I booked with Dr Sarika at St Georges Hospital and was seen 6 weeks later. She treated me for several lesions on my face and then referred me to Dr Antonis Hadjievtichou, plastic surgeon at the same hospital, for surgery to be carried out on a tumour on my forehead. This was done within two weeks of seeing Dr Sarika and all went according to plan.
