How much space do white rhinos use in the wild? I venture to suggest that it would be in the tens of square kilometres. I think that at least 1/4 of the area of the District of Paphos would make them a lot happier than a zoo enclosure.

So why move them to a zoo on another continent? If they aren't part of a breeding programme, it's just animal exploitation. Zoos that aren't primarily about conservation need to go.White rhinoceros are endangered as a result of being poached for their horns.

They aren't white. The name is a corruption of the original Afrikaans wide-mouthed rhinoceros.

Zoos now are more experienced in the needs of animal welfare, In my opinion zoos are a good thing if there is education involved, teaching children about these animals, giving everyone a chance to see them, how many people are lucky enough to see these in the wild.

You are so spot on there. The rhinos require vast areas to roam in in. These two must feel as if they are in a prison.
