During my trip around the Old Market this morning, I stumbled upon the opening ceremony of the Mouttalos Project outside the Mosque Hagia Sophia which was a former Byzantine church. For those unaware, Mouttalos is a village next to the Old Market which used to be home to both TCs & GCs. Thank you for updated photos of the area. I hope they don't destroy the square completely as for me it was a very nice typical old Cyprus impression to see the people drinking their morning coffee and playing backgammon together whenever I passed there on my way down to TOTK Lidl. I hope they did not remove the old sycamore trees there...
