A while ago we went exploring along the Xeros Valley. We published the films we made, but not the journey back. To rectify that, here is the journey we took on the penultimate leg, from Pentalia to Choulou. Along the way, we drive through Agios Fotios. This is an abandoned village which was deserted due to extreme weather and the threat of landslides. Along with their neighbours in Statos, the inhabitants were moved to a new village further up the hill.
After Agios Fotios, there is a turning to Faleia. That is another abandoned village which is worth exploring if you have the time.
