We have been monitoring our electricity usage even more carefully this year - amazing how a few small changes have resulted in markedly less consumption on a regular basis. Even so I have been setting aside a certain amount each month as I was caught out in January/February this year when we were both unwell and needed extra heating day and night for about 4-6 weeks.

Earlier this year we were caught out by a 'cold snap' weather wise. The time for the gas man to deliver Bulk Gas was still a week away and we were low on gas in the tank.
So, we decided to use the air con on heating mode.. I was pleasantly surprised that it did not result in a big consumption of electricity..

If only I could have the PV system I applied for in December 2019! I was told it was going to be installed by last Friday, but has it? Not on your Nellie! The installer had forgotten to put in the electronics between the PV panels and the mains. Three years, all bar a breath, and I'm still paying through the nose with a 32% surcharge.

Really sorry to here that Devil. Hope it doesn't put people off getting solar panels. All our neighbours who had Greenair install their panels were up and running within around 8 weeks of making their first enquiries. Our next door neighbour first saw Christos at the beginning of December. A 5kw system installed the following week. Panels live after EAC inspection at the end of January. Our panels were installed 3 years ago. Installed in June but because of the holidays were not inspected till August.
