Fast through passport control

Last Wednesday I returned to Cyprus after a week in the UK.

Arriving at the passport control area I did the usual thing scanned my passport and had my photo taken by the machine and printed off.

I went to the passport desk gave the man the new ticket and put my passport on the desk before he looked at my passport I said “ I have a yellow slip” at which point he pushed my passport back to me without even opening it.

Talk about a fast service!

To be fair I always find passport control in Paphos efficient, I have been through the terminal numerous times in the past few months and generally its always quick.
I have noticed depending on the day and time if it is not busy then they close of the self scan area and you just go to the officer at the booth.

Thought if you’re a yellow slip holder you shouldn’t be using the scanners, instead go to the chap in the cubicle with passport & yellow slip

Interesting comment from Sadie. I always go straight to the cubicle buit I am pushing a wheelchair. I have a yellow slip. Does anyone know what the rules are?Are they laid out anywhere?
