Improved coastal walkway Yeroskipou to Kato Paphos..
It is a little bit late for this season but at least a step in the right direction.

Will be brilliant if they put proper lighting along the path. The ground level lighting at the Paphos end of the path was useless even when it was first installed, and now many of the bulbs are broken or the lights have been concreted over.
I have done this walk almost daily over the past four weeks, and I was wondering how I could do it comfortably in the heat of summer.
It will also be a huge asset for guests staying at the hotels.

Is that shaky bridge section of the existing coastal footpath (made of old telegraph poles and planks) over the Limnarka seasonal river outflow to the Med still there? Between the Alexander the Great and Almyra hotels?
Just wondering... Cheers- AL

It is a really good path. Most of it is maintained by the hotels along it. The municipal bits are loose stones, some paving, and edging paving most of the way. The bit passed the Alexander the Great Hotel is concreted, with a slope down to the water gully, which is running at the moment but in summer is dry. There is a pumping room underneath and at present you can here the machinery running.

I really enjoy this pathway and use it regularly. All and any improvements are welcome.

I did think that the Municipality might, as part of PAFOS2017, have done something about some lighting along the coastal path. Perhaps it will happen towards the end of 2017, like the work in Pano Pafos (old town)

Subject: Coastal path lights
We walked from Paphos Harbour on Monday evening towards the airport for about 2Km
We stopped at a bar for a drink, but on our way back to town we noticed that not many of the lights were working and we were having difficulty in seeing where we were going.
Would it be possible to have these lights mended please.
Many thanks

Hello there
We were back in Paphos last week.
We walked the coastal path again and watched the sunset at a beach bar near to the Imperial Beach Hotel.
Then, when we walked back, there were NO lights till we reached the Almyra.
It is nearly a year since my last message to you - has anyone looked at the lights?

and to mention that low energy LED bulbs should be used, shaded, so as to direct their light straight down onto the footpath, thus NOT adding to night sky light pollution (thereby obfuscating the stars and neighbouring planets from normal night time vision!)
