A couple of months ago we reported on the Park of Colours, which is being constructed behind the central Paps Supermarket in Paphos. It was due to be finished "within weeks". I went to Paps this morning, and had a sneak peak around back, to see what progress had been made. I wasn't disappointed.

It looks great. Particularly when you recall that it was was a area of waste-ground and rubbish at the start.

“Park of colours” in Paphos opens to the public within days
Coastal Paphos’ new 32,000 square metre “park of colours” at the junction of Ellados and Evagoras Pallikarides avenues will open to the public any day now, according to mayor Phedon Phedonos.
The largest linear park in the whole of Cyprus has cost almost €4 million, Phedonos also told Philenews and clarified that it will open the moment the cafeteria within operates.
The cafeteria’s operation will become subject to tenders shortly, he added.
This specific action is a prerequisite so as to have a continuous movement of citizens in the area and, thus, to avoid the risk of vandalism or theft.
The municipality already pays for security services now that the park is set to operate and the budget is substantial, he added.
“We are taking out millions from the Municipality Fund to invest in young people. In a few weeks, the largest organized park in Cyprus will be open for the public… Paphos is changing for the best,” the mayor also said.

Re: Park Of Colours Almost Ready
Technically you are correct.
According to Google:
A linear park is a type of park that is significantly longer than it is wide. These linear parks are strips of public land running along canals, rivers, streams, defensive walls, electrical lines, or highways and shorelines.
