Missing Post

Post by Paul »

Has any one else had post go missing here in Cyprus.
I purchased an item on EBay on the 10th of June and it has not arrived.
I did a track and trace with the post office to see it logged in at Larnaka on the 22 June at 10.35am.
On the 23 June at 08.30 am the item is logged to send to domestic location (Choulou).
Now the fun bit!
24 June 03.42 am logged as at district post office (DPO Anavogos)
24 June 03.45 am logged as unsuccessful delivery attempt logged and logged as “addressee advised to pick up the item”
2 Staff at the DPO have told me there office is closed at the time of the 24 June logged data.

I have sent an enquiry form off to Nicosia to see where it has gone.

Now wait and see

Larnaca airport post office closed in June (no reason provided) and several small post offices have closed due to Covid.

There are updates given on the Home page of the Cyprus Post website.

I sent a item (worth £20) from the UK to me in Peyia, it arrived after 2 weeks in Limmasol ,was sent to Peyia post office which took then a month to decide how much to charge me import duty, they wanted a invoice, I had a copy of a similar item but it still took ages.
I could see it at the post office but they wouldn't give it to me.

No Joy with the post office they called me and told me to get a refund from the sender, it's like there not interested.
Which makes me think would police involvement be any better.

WHo did you speak to? You should ask to speak to the Superior of whoever it was as their response is totally unacceptable.
