Robbed

Post by WHL »

First off, THANK YOU EVERYONE for your concern. I'm ok, just a little shaken up, but l'll be ok.
For those of you who don't know what happened, I was robbed today at the petrol station. I gathered myself together, my hands were still shaking, I was dizzy, and I honestly think I'm still in shock. My money was gone. I called the police, they were fantastic and called for medical assistance as my blood pressure was through the roof. The police asked me if I knew who did it, and I told them
"Yes, it was pump number 2.

You got off lightly. In 1975 that joke was rejected by Jimmy Tarbuck because it was too old.

I just give the attendant a €20 note and ask him to put the petrol in.
Just realised - I have been going to the petrol filling station more often recently.

Back in the day, I remember being at technical collage, we were paying 30 odd pence per gallon, and at the time there was some problems happening in the middle east
The lecturer said, lads don't be suprised if petrol reaches 50 pence a gallon, we all laughed at him, saying that will never happen, :?

Well, in the past (35 years ago) I drove a Nissan Patrol Safari high roof with a tank of 95 liters. It happened to me that 5 CYP were too much filling up the car when the tank was empty.... By the way, this was the best 4x4 car ever I drove in CY with its 4,2 l diesel engine and I rescued many stranded cars at the beach when they drove too close to the water and got stuck. Also I liked to drive various fire breaker in the Paphos forest when I was on my own :) and not to mention crossing rivers in spring while other people just watched me.... happy times :!:
