Texas school gunman

Post by WHL »

No words can describe this sad news, just RIP little angels,
no point in discussing USA gun laws, sadly nothing will change, no matter how many innocent's are lost.

I cannot bring myself to watch/read about this latest mass murder. It’s just too horrific for words.

I read a comment in a newspaper where somebody said the answer is to have MORE guns. Arm teachers etc. Stupidity beyond belief and it’s comments like that which show me it will never change as regards gun control.

Sadly you are correct, We have family in the states, and know how the yanks think, this massacre will be forgotten in a few months until the next one, etc etc etc.

I've given up on it now and just have to let it go over my head.
If they cannot see where the problem lies by now, there's really no helping them. They've gone way past the point of reason.

Its big business in the USA, gun manufacturers and gun stores make a fortune out of the paranoia. Every time the Democrats try to change things the Republicans are up in arms.
A bit like the healthcare system really.

Yes the NRA, guns are banned from the event. A spokesman said Trump needs to be protected as he is an ex leader of the free world. He was also asked how you can buy a gun aged 18, but not allowed to drink until 21, he said that alcohol is dangerous.
Unbelievable

How apt that doggerel verse is. But unfortunately the American obsession with guns hasn't changed since the west was settled and law and order arrived.. It seems nearly impossible to get American citizens, mainly male, to get rid of their guns.
And Gun shops are plentiful. I've given up thinking that an effective gun law might be established as a result of public shock and horror at another senseless school shooting.
Each to his own.
