Bedspreads

Post by sunspot »

I know they’re old fashioned, but has anyone managed to find bedspreads in Cyprus, apart from at Ikea?

We bought beautiful cream calico embroidered bedspreads in Paphos many years ago (around 2007). They were so warm in the winter.

They were donated to the people in the Ukraine just a few weeks ago as we have never used them in Scotland since returning. I can only hope they will continue to keep some soul warm. We rooted them out from the loft in their vacuum packs and they looked like they were brand new.

Apologies sunspot as this is a very unhelpful reply by me as I think they were bought in Orphanides . . . . .long before they 'went under.'

I hope you find them because they are a fabulous 'go to' when it's chilly. . . . And, they also look lovely.

Patari opposite the main bus station (building site)/Markidion Theatre usually have a good selection. There are some on their website https://patarihome.com/

For benefit of the thread: I went to Patari. They have a range of fabrics and can make bedspreads to order for not much more than a good quality off-the-shelf bedspread. Thanks again to Lofos-Jan.
