Today's Walk
Walked from the car park near Luna Park to the harbour and back, setting off at 5:30pm. Have never seen the harbour so busy nor the path, which was very busy with walkers, joggers, serious runners and cyclists.
The two tavernas at the harbour near to Pizza Hut were very busy.
I have never seen so many people at the Annabelle Hotel having drinks and snacks, again mostly Cypriots.
I usually stop for a coffee or Frappe at the kiosk near the Imperial Hotel, but all the seats were taken.
When I reached Penelope's Church, I was surprised at how many people were gathered there to watch the sunset.
Really enjoying being in Cyprus and am now walking much further and faster than when we arrived four weeks ago. Will be able to go on my bike when we go back to the UK, and looking forward to this.

Re: Today's Walk
It is really called the Inter denominational Church of St. Nicholas. It is situated between the Phaethon Hotel and the Pioneer Beach Hotel, off Poseidonos Avenue. There is a small road on the left down to it. Go passed the Luna Park and the Phaethon Hotel and it is the next small road on the left. Penelope Mantis (the solicitor) and a Russian paid for it to be built.

Funnily enough we parked up by that church to go for a swim the other week.

Short walk this morning. First photo is the plaque in the courtyard of Penelope's Church.
Second, a cat that has hijacked a sunbed someone has reserved by putting their towels on, whilst they went for breakfast. I am sure some members will be able to think of some suitably humorous comments.

Re: Today's Walk
Last week I was walking in temperatures well over 20c, in fact up to 28c. This week, in Wales, only 8c with a really cold northerly wind. It is the Victorian weekend, (Extravaganza and transport festival) this weekend in Llandudno, so I hope it warms up a bit.
The good news is that I have been out on my bike, for the first time since my op. Bad news, electric bike will no longer go up steep hills and I had to get off and push today. However, it is 11 years old so probably needs a new battery, or brushes in the electric motor.
Been looking at folding electric bikes so I can go a bit further afield, taking the bike in the boot of the car or on a bus.
Two pictures, first one taken yesterday, when it was sunny but very cold out of the sun and one today when it has been cold and showery. In fact there is fresh snow on the mountains, quite low down.

Re: Today's Walk
Thanks. Was discharged fully from the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital on Monday. Got to go to the local hospital next week to have my lungs tested and to see the phsio about free gym membership, having done all the rehab myself.
