Shop selling variety of solar lights

Post by kansas »

I seem to remember that there was a shop almost opposite the Tax Office that sold solar lights. Does anyone know if it's still there? If not, is there anywhere in Paphos that specialises in solar lights. Have tried all the usual outlets - Jumbo's, Superhome, etc. Thanks

Has anyone found solar lights that work for long, in the strong summer sun, perishing the panels?

Yes, I did. I bought at Lidl back in 2014 (8 years!!) solar spot lights with separate module, connected with 2 m cable to the lights and they are still giving light all night long. Even in winter and even after one day no sunshine. I bought in the meantime 8 units to use it around the house. They sell them at Lidl only 2 times a year, so I have even stock in case one gets broken. Big advantage could be that one can change the rechargeable battery if necessary, however it is still the first battery in the unit I bought 2014. It is the first time that I found good quality for small price. (ca 14 Euro) Normally these cheap solar lights die after 1 or 2 years in Cyprus sunshine.

I took some pics to show how good the module looks after 8 years in the Cyprus sun and how I use one of the units...
