Cypriot driving licence in the UK.

Simply,can you drive on a Cypriot licence in the UK?Also i suppose hiring a car in the UK being an octogenarian is out of the question.

I have never had a problem using a Cypriot licence in the UK but it was before Brexit.
However, the best thing to do is to choose which Hire firm you want to use, and just phone them and ask the questions there

I drove in the UK on a Cypriot licence over Christmas. No problems.

The maximum age for rentals is usually 70 or 75, but some companies have no upper limit. I would contact the companies and ask them.

No problem hiring cars in the UK using cypriot licence, there are age related issues when renting, but that was the same before brexit

I tied renting a car last summer while in the UK. I found it difficult, as some rental companies don't want to hire to drivers much over 75 yrs. If they are willing, there was a substantial cost loading on drivers over 75. Also drivers insurance.costs are also higher. This was last year, in Cheltenham. This was despite my having a car in the UK, but it was having some work on it, as well as its annual service.
In the end I decided to avoid substantial extra costs and just wait until my own car was ready.
