VHS to DVD or hard-drive/online storage

Post by Lofos-Jan »

Afternoon all. I am looking for someone to transfer my old family VHS (about 18), VHS-C (about 45) and a couple of video8 tapes to save them for posterity before they deteriorate any further. I am not sure whether this is best done to some form of 'cloud'/YouTube archive etc. as perhaps a DVD will also deteriorate at some point (advice on this welcome). I do have the capture hardware, an old VHS player and the old camcorder but have struggled with getting the image sometimes and don't really have the time to do it so I would like to find someone who will do a good job for me.

Can anyone recommend anyone?

Try calling Paul at Groovejet in Tremithousa, (26819562) he put some VHS tapes on to DVD for me recently, I thin the cost was 15 euro per tape, worth it to me as the tapes were footage of my daughter as a child and irreplaceable
