Antigen Rapid Test

Post by Iris 2 »

Morning

I'm hoping someone can provide some clarity.

On departure from the UK to Cyprus we need to have a PCR test taken within 72 hours or a antigen rapid test within 24 hours.

Will a lateral flow test be sufficent for the antigen rapid test?

Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I´m not a native English speaker, but isn´t a lateral flow test an antigen test? Are there lateral flow tests for the coronavirus which aren´t?

As far as I am aware the 24 hour test has to be done by a lab with official results, not a home test kit. Hope that helps.

Thanks foe the reply - feels like a PCR will be the best option given the time restrictions. Were only coming for 5 days as well!

Cheers
