These rainy days I found a really thrilling video of a cliff walk high in the Swiss mountains. I personally would not fancy to walk there in that weather conditions and my fears of height.... however to watch the 8 minutes video was great for me. Some people walking there had obviously more guts
change the quality at least to 720p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7DgkyhH7qM
I could probably do it if I walked quickly and didn't look down - but what would be the point! It does at least look safe, unlike this Chinese cliff walk.
A head for heights is useful for exploring mountains in Switzerland and Austria!. The standards of engineering and maintenance are generally very high. Some of their telecabines, and chair lifts are amazing feats of engineering too. These can cross yawning drops and chasms and ascend to distant peaks which from a distance look impossible to reach.
These are suspended from overhead cables. But as long as you don't look down, the vistas are amazingly beautiful. The mountains are also studded with well maintained and sign posted walking paths. Ideal for a walking holiday in the summer, or skiing in winter.
