Cyprus ID Card Renewal

My cyprus ID card needs renewing. I’ve tried to download the form from the Civil Registration and Migration Department but it is only in Greek (and, I think, Turkish). Can anyone advise me where I can download an English version of the form so I can complete before Going to the Citizen's Advice for renewal. Also the cost as I believe it’s cash only.

Just go to the citizens office( appointment needed ) they will fill it up for you.

I was under the impression that unless you were Cypriot you cold not renew your ID Card. Having said that everywhere seems to accept the out of date one.

I was under the same impression, ie people who are not Cypriot cannot get one renewed..
But I agree they are always accepted as a form of ID even when out of date

Only problem is I no longer look anything like the photo on the original card!

Well then. In that case its better to use a Cyprus driving license card.This has your photo, plus your ARC no, on it. You cannot renew a Cy ID card as a 3rd country National as Brits are now.

Thank you all for your replies - interesting it's not renewable, I didn't realise, I've had mine for years!

I guess I'll continue to use it as ID but I also carry my driver's licence and a copy of my MEU3 so can use that as photographic ID if necessary.

As it's only available for Cypriots, that explains why the form is in Greek only.

You could always apply for the MUKW3 card.

But Aphrodie, as a matter of interest the application form for the renewal of the Cyprus Driving License is also in Greek only. Not just the one for renewing the Cy ID...
