Hi All,
I've been quoted 2K Euros to replace a corroded hot water tank and associated pipe work with the addition of a water pump for the showers. It's the old type of water system on an Aristo villa built in 2001.
I just wondered whether it was worth replacing the whole lot with a photovoltaic solution? We also have a pool heater. I'm not clear where we would put the water tanks with this option or whether the pool heater should be replaced as well? We only spend about 8 weeks a year in Cyprus (possibly more going forward) but nevertheless I don't want to fix a system that is over 20 years old if an investment in a replacement will be more efficient and last another 20 years.
GreenAir recently replaced our aircon units with a LG dual invertor solution which works brilliantly for both heating and cooling - but I just wanted views on the photovoltaic option before I ask for quotes.
Many thanks
Jon

It is not clear to me what you mean with photo-voltaic solution.
Is it something like that?

My friend chose Lavra - a 200L tank and 'traditional' system for €800
