It is customary to sing this great Scottish song at the end of the old year but when in Scottish company I never understood the words. Here is an attempt at translation & the words get more interesting after the 1st minute. Happy New Year

Thanks for the translationbout , nice to know what it means... it sounds rather sad.
The first time I heard the one about the chimney reeking from Scottish relatives I was quite bemused!
