Phase outage

I am typing this on the laptop as we have a phase outage in Choulou.
There is just enough power from one socket to power the laptop and the router so I am still online.
All we can do is wait till they sort it out!

And indeed although it is Sunday, the Electric board are usually very speedy at sorting things out.

Well that's a benefit of having 3 phase electricity! I used to have this in my previous house. At least when there was an electricity outage, having even 1 phase meant that you weren't entirely cut off from power. Even though in my house there seemed little logic in the way someone had wired it up.. But a good extension lead can play dividends. Often it can provide power from somewhere in the house to keep essentials like a fridge freezer say, going!!

PS I was in Choulou a few days ago. What an interesting and lovely village it is.
