Yet another U turn by the Prime Minister. I just can not understand why some British people object to having vaccine passports. In Cyprus, residents all have vaccine passports, as soon as.vaccine has been given. No one objects to having one as it is useful, as people like Staffie will find if they are traveling abroad. The EU has issued vaccine passports to all citizens of the EU countries.

I think Cyprus is doing it right insisting on a Covid Vaccination Certificate of=r similar to enter a place with a possibility of 10 people or more on the premises.
This morning I was asked for my Pass and I showed the folded certificate copy in my wallet. The lady asked to see the other side with my name on it. Then she wanted ID to prove I was that person named on the certificate

I am looking forward to my return to Cyprus. I am fed up with the chaotic state of the poor UK.it's all very well for Boris to talk about relaxing all the remaining measures to protect us all from infection by Covid, but the number of cases is still going up day by day, as are the number of people in hospital with the virus.
So no Covid passports will be issued to Brits, so when they travel abroad, will it be up to the destination countries to decide how many PCR/Rapid antigen tests they will need, with no tangible proof of their vaccination or not?

You can get your COVID certificate on NHS app and this is used in other counties like Cyprus as your passport, what Boris is saying is that he will not have a COVID passport system for entry into venues shops etc.

Too early to make statements as to what will or will not happen over winter - best to keep options open.

And also worth remembering despite the EU "Green" Covid Pass as some countries call it, it is up to individual EU countries to decide what if any certificate, vaccinations, passenger landing forms or flight pass requirements are required.Having just got back from Sardinia via Rome and Athens to Larnaca I needed 3 different landing forms but only the one standard Green pass.
