We have decided to have wills drawn up in Cyprus and would appreciate some advice and possible recommendations. We do not own a property here (or in the UK) and our estate will be small. Everything we own we would want passed onto the surviving partner, and then to our daughter in the UK. Obviously we want to avoid any complications for the surviving partner at what will be a difficult time.
We did have a UK will drawn up in 2008 (just before I went for a triple heart bypass) but it does not reflect our current circumstances.
We plan to live forever but there is a possibility that this may not happen.
Making a will in Cyprus
Re: Making a will in Cyprus
We recently changed ours and added the fact we wanted our estate to be treated under UK law
We used a lady called Carol 26 911 508, she’s excellent and supports every step, including going to the court to lodge the will there

Re: Making a will in Cyprus
Same here - we started the process in November 2019 and were going to get them 'officially sorted' when we came back in March 2020, or May 2020, or October 2020, or June 2021, or September 2021

Hopeful for next month

Re: Making a will in Cyprus
Did ours with Clearly Read back in Feb, pretty straight forward but as we dont have children we had to decide who benefits from our estate if we happen to go together. Both did wills leaving everything to each other unless the unthinkable happened. Our Cypriot neighbour is our executor and knows where we keep a copy of the will some other neighbours witnessed the signing and clearly read has a copy. We have done it under english law.
We have still got to get another will sorted for our savings accounts/bank in the UK.
We also used Clearly Read to sort forms for paying tax here rather than uk on husband's pension.
