Visitors to Akamas region find what appears to be human remains

Post by memory man »

Visitors on Sunday found what appears to be human remains in a remote area of the Akamas Peninsula, police said.

The visitors spotted the bones somewhere near the sea shore, collected them and informed the district’s police.

Further specialised investigations are to be carried out on Monday to primarily clarify whether they are human remains or not.

And, if so, investigations will begin so that the identity of the person to whom they belong is determined.

mmmm - I wonder!

The body of Thekla ( I think that was her name ) was never found
from several years ago.
You may remember her as the woman who plodded the streets and
collected tin cans. I believe she lived in Emba.

Yes I do remember her going missing. The spot where the bones were found is a long way from Emba, but who knows.
It seems strange that they collected the bones up !!

I am surprised they collected the bones. I would have thought the police would prefer them left in situ.

Yes, I agree. By moving the bones police investigators will have less to go on in terms of collecting evidence. Seems a strange thing for anyone to do.

Could it be that they were found "close" to the sea and due to
tide movement, they may have been washed back into the sea?

Is that to do with the police presence at the locus?

Not again! We have had the arguments over tides umpteen times on this forum. The real answer is there are tides which are so small that you do not even notice them

Not at all. I was referring to the subject of tides. I said "Don't go there" meaning "Don't mention the subject of tides".
