The plan includes the overnight continuation of the efforts to extinguish the fire with all the means at our disposal, said tonight the Government Spokesman Mr. Marios Pelekanos.
Speaking to reporters at the Management Center in the area of Vavatsinia, Mr. Pelekanos said that "the data have been re-evaluated, the contribution of the Meteorological Service was important, which informed us about how the weather conditions are expected to fluctuate.
It seems that until the morning hours the conditions will be more favorable than later. Therefore, the plan includes, of course, to continue the efforts overnight with all the means at our disposal, but of course tomorrow morning with the first light to focus all the forces before the weather conditions become difficult, in order to have better results....

In my opinion there are not enough planes available in Cyprus to fight large fires. As this example shows, they should not rely on help from outside the country....(the one plane from Greece hat to return, planes from Italy or Israel did not arrive yet)
