Well played England, not the best performance ever but the result was what mattered. 8-)

It’s not pretty football but the defence is solid and bolstered with Rice and Philips sat in front. The wing backs did their jobs and as frustrating Sterling can be by running into trouble he came up with the goods again. I don’t really see anyone to fear other than perhaps Italy in the final….

Certainly do, the Germans are always hard to beat but this result reminds me of 1966, not a better team but they look like winners this time, we can only dream.....

And the incoming German head coach is going to be a certain Herr Flick.

It was an excellent result on another poor performance, for 75 minutes, by England. Looked like heading for penalties. Grealish made a difference.

Within minutes, Sky News site had "The route to the Final for England"

This is the problem, the MSM bigging things up and turning players' heads. The way they've played, they could lose to anyone. They will be favourites against Ukraine and probably next round if they get through - but Spain, Belgium and others are playing far better.

Take a look how TT guided Chelsea to the CL. It bares an uncanny resemblance.
