BBC program ''Time''
Re: BBC program ''Time''
Watched it, absolutely fantastic, very sad though and thought provoking, which is Jimmy McGovern at his finest.
The 2 lead actors also played together in another McGovern play, see Tracy’s story in The Accused excellent acting

If you never ask the question, the answer will always be....no

Re: BBC program ''Time''
It's excellent and has been widely discussed on Facebook throughout the UK in some of the well known rough and ready areas.
The general consensus of opinion has indicated none of those who have watched it would want to spend any time inside.
Makes a change to have a programme which doesn't glamourise prison life. Can't wait to see the next episode. It was very gripping and one of the fastest ways to pass an hour watching TV.

Have downloaded the whole series and watched it. This programme should be made compulsive viewing in schools for 13 year olds and older. It would give them something to think about. The programme was very hard hitting and made you think what life could be and is like in prisons.

Re: BBC program ''Time''
I agree 100% with Mike1940 about compulsive viewing.
I said this many years ago after being involved in 2 prison sieges @
Peterhead max security prison READ HERE
and several small incidents @ local Aberdeen prison ( where prisoners died ).
Life is certainly not nice and easy in prison.
N.B. I was NOT a prisoner. When Peterhead prison was set on fire at end of siege
me and my BA partner were first 2 to enter the prison to extinguish the fire.
As we entered, we were met with hundreds of prisoners and prison officers making there way out.
It was impossible to tell who was who as they were dressed alike ( it was frightening ). We had been warned about
some of the traps which were set eg. razor blades attached to hand rails on staircases, steps on stairs had
been cut half way through under each tread so any weight would make them collapse.
