As I see it, to have a fair and impartial vote, the songs should be sung without stating which countries they represent.

It's too predictable which countries will vote for which, it makes a mockery of the whole thing, so I had no interest in watching it.

I am a committed Eurovision fan and very much enjoyed watching all the songs. Some lovely ballads too. I just enjoy it as a big fun event. I really don’t understand why people would refuse to watch it ‘because of the politics’. Isn’t it about the songs, the fun and the taking part? Britain’s song wasn’t great. He’s a really talented songwriter but poor at singing and performing. We also put him close to the bottom as we scored during the competition.

The worst part of the competition for me was the embarrassing Amanda Holden on behalf of the British Jury.

Us too, Jeanne - we've watched it for years and chat with various friends across different countries and continents about it.

We stay up to watch the voting too because it's always amused us to see if Greece and Cyprus will award each other their douze points along with many other neighbouring countries.

All part of the fun of the great spectacle. It's just a big party these days for most people. We just enjoy it for the pure entertainment and this year was one of the best for songs which could have been contenders to take the top spot.

HIC you just answered your own question ! Yes it was bollocktiks Germany finishing 2nd last ! It reflected the view point of many European countries' ! The whole Eurovision is a complete waste of time and effort since 30 yrs ago ! No longer even a parody of itself !

Also, some footage of a repeating clip on Facebook which I couldn't say was long enough to prove one way or another.
All bl..dy gossip as usual from some press. He did a drug test and guess what the result was ....

Yes, he was interviewed later and said he was prepared to be tested upon return to Italy, and that they don't do drugs.

Some matter of broken glass is the reason he had his head down so low. The repeated clip I saw posted on a Malta facebook group didn't show him lift his head back up fully, hence my comment that I couldn't confirm one way or another if the footage showed anything.
