This is Cyprus. Paramedic's are highly trained and they have both the drugs and necessary equipment onboard the ambulance. They can also communicate with the hospital.
Do you have paramedics in Germany? They are used in the UK and are capable of urgent lifesaving treatment.

At what elevation to expect snow / frost
Re: At what elevation to expect snow / frost
Of course, we have paramedics in Germany ("Rettungssanitäter") as well. However, in a critical emergency the "Rettungsleitstelle" (emergency coordination centre) will dispatch a specially trained emergency physician ("Notarzt") as well, in time critical cases (e.g. in rural ares) if necessary by helicopter, because paramedics are not sufficiently qualified and/or not allowed to diagnose and treat certain conditions (think e.g. emergency anaesthesia, administration of opioids, tension pneumothorax etc.). The time limits are regulated by law (e.g. in my home state of Bavaria local governments must take care that an emergency physician can reach any point within 12 minutes) and to ensure they are met there are emergency stations ("Rettungswachen") distributed all over the country and emergency physicians are on standby 24/7 (not necessarily at these stations though). Thinking about it I´m now realising that I´ve never seen an emergency physician vehicle in Cyprus - only ambulances. Now I know why. And I must say I find this concerning. Thanks god I´m pretty healthy.

Glad that you are healthy! But with your concerns about emergency healthcare in Cyprus, perhaps you should look at plots in villages much closer to Paphos? Kili and Tsada are two villages, both about 2000mtrs above sea level. Travelling time into,Paphos from either is about 12 mins.

Jeba, you really should stop compering every aspect of life here in Cyprus, to life in Germany, especially the health systems, Germany is one of the most modern wealthy country's in the World, it goes with out saying little Cyprus will not come anywhere near the standard of medicine set in Germany,,, for Gods sake Gesy has only been operating for just over a year, it is really tiresome reading your posts telling us Germany has this/ does this/ etc etc, If you are so disillusioned on the standard of many things over here in Cyprus, Then choosing a country like Cyprus to live, isnt for you.... Germany, will give you the standard of living, you will not obviously find here. please consider the economics of Cyprus v Germany before you post, thanksjeba wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 7:53 amOf course, we have paramedics in Germany ("Rettungssanitäter") as well. Hey, I was answering a question. If it´s too tiresome for you to read it - just don´t.WHL wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 9:15 amJeba, you really should stop compering every aspect of life here in Cyprus, to life in Germany, especially the health systems, Germany is one of the most modern wealthy country's in the World, it goes with out saying little Cyprus will not come anywhere near the standard of medicine set in Germany,,, for Gods sake Gesy has only been operating for just over a year, it is really tiresome reading your posts telling us Germany has this/ does this/ etc etc, If you are so disillusioned on the standard of many things over here in Cyprus, you do have the option of leaving and living back in Germany, which will give you the standard of living, you will not obviously find here. please consider the economics of Cyprus v Germany before you post, thanksjeba wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 7:53 amOf course, we have paramedics in Germany ("Rettungssanitäter") as well. Re: At what elevation to expect snow / frost
I have used a private ambulance from Aretaia Hospital in Strovolos on a number of occasions without taking a subscription. It costs us typically about 35% more than a taxi would over the same distance. Their service is generally impeccable although we did have one letdown when they were unable to cope with a large number of calls. Typically, if I phoned the hospital, the ambulance would be sitting outside the house in about 25 to 30 minutes.
