I hate any hunting, in times allowed or not. To avoid a fine he should have gone from 23.8. to 30.10. when it is allowed to shoot them. However their conservation status is VU (vulnerable). Here a list of birds one is allowed to hunt that specific time a year.

Which one is also known as Turtle Dove?
I thought from reading articles by Bird life that the Turtle Dove was also protected?
Anyway the so called 'sport' of killing birds to satisfy the demand for Ambelipoulia should be stopped. Its horrible that some hunters also use lime sticks and mist nets to trap them.
