Will we see a final Chelsea-City?

Post by cyprusmax47 »

Champions League is coming closer and I have the feeling that we will see Chelsea and City in the final after watching their last games....

And Lincoln have an outside chance of automatic promotion still.

Well, the first step is done...and it is a big step with the away goals rule

I presume he means Lincoln City, doesn't he?

Or maybe one of the other dozen clubs called City?

hopefully leicester in with a chance this year after there bad performance with last 8 games last season, it's a pain to me when leicester, I support, players young and older, get poached, (Ben chillwell, maraz, n'golo kant'e) but obviously no doubt, cash the big temptation.
looking forward to see how last few matches progress, good luck to all fans and there teams.

Sorry Dominic but Hull and Peterborough automatic promotion, i am afraid Lincoln will have to run the gauntlet of the play off's.

Sadly the Mighty Mariners will be playing national league football next year. 8-)

Not sure City and Chelsea should be eying up their cup final suits just yet..........with the lack of crowds I am not convinced that there is much difference between home and away this season and they may regret not scoring more away goals.

An interesting discussion
I support Stoke City
There are other mentions of
Lincoln City
Hull City
Leicester City

Good that Norwich City got promoted, will Swansea City join them?
Cardiff City and Bristol City have missed out on the play offs
Birmingham City and Coventry City are safe

Have I missed anyone?

;)

Not necessarily. If Lincoln win their last three games and Peterborough lose their last two, then Lincoln will be above them.

One of Peterborough's games is against Lincoln, so it isn't as far-fetched as you would normally think. If Lincoln win that, it will be an interesting and nail-biting final day, assuming they win the other game too.

A very good effort from the Imps today but sadly not good enough, Play off's it is.

Good luck Lincoln. 8-)

That was not a penalty. It must rank as one of the worst decisions I have ever seen.

Mind you, they spaffed a 3 goal lead, so hey ho.

This was the penalty:

It's funny, but I don't think the match commentary on the BBC was written by somebody who was actually at the game. There is no way you would write the following if you saw the incident.

"before blasting home his last-gasp spot-kick after Sammie Szmodics was brought down in the box."

I feel for them, has to be one of the worst decisions I have seen in a while.

Alas onward and hopefully upward. 8-)

The Sunday Times called it "a soft penalty"

Oh I don't begrudge Peterborough a thing, Play to the whistle and all that. Plus Lincoln would still have had to win their last two games and Peterborough lose their final game for it to make any difference. But that was just outrageous.

Nice to see people supporting their local clubs, rather then the glory hunter fake fans.

But interesting to see which power "fans" can develop. Manchester United’s Premier League clash against Liverpool has been called off after fans broke into Old Trafford and invaded the pitch during a protest against the Glazer family. (owner)!

The Red Devils were among 12 clubs that last month signed up for the breakaway European Super League, which collapsed within 48 hours due to huge, unrelenting pressure.....
