Portal for covid vaccination opens for people aged 53-54, closes on Saturday

Only people aged 53-54 will be eligible to book a slot for a Covid vaccination on Friday and Saturday, the health ministry has said.The portal with 15,000 appointments made available opened at 7:30am and will close at 8pm on Saturday with AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines on offer....

Been there, done that and all booked in with confirmation of appointment printed off by 08:01.

Same here but I had to call 1474 after booking online as I didn't receive confirmation text so wanted to check all as ok. According to what i saw, by 07.40 all the Pfizer vaccines had gone.

Nobody was getting a choice at the vaccine centre. You just went to door 1, 2 or 3. I have no idea what criteria was used. I went to door 3 and had Astrazenica. I am 100% happy to get that, too. I didn't feel a thing afterwards, though it might be because I had just been to Lenia's for a filling so already had a bit of a throb on.

I was impressed with the setup. I already know when my next jab will be and I look forward to it.

According to a family member who is a Dr, its good to get a reaction, shows its working, as for your,,,,,, so already had a bit of a throb on..... did we really need to hear that

I'm 24 hours ahead of you. Had AZ vaccine on Thursday, and felt pretty ropey yesterday. Much tv was watched and chocolate consumed . Feel much better today and glad I had the vaccine

The only effect of the AZ jab I had, was a bit of a headache the day after.

I have read that the Pfizer is now misbehaving but the coverage in the media is scant.
