The Vaccination Portal will be open from Monday, March 22, at 8 am, until Tuesday, March 23, at 7 pm exclusively for the rescheduling of vaccination appointments with the AstraZeneca vaccine that had been postponed to March 16, 17 and 18 .

Should I wait for a call or should I call them?

I should have had my covid vaccination last week. Logged on to gesy just now and it has let me rebook a new appointment.

Just a word of warning. When using chrome, sometimes the forms on the gesy website do not work. Instead of surname, you will see the word adjective and the dropdown boxes dropdown but will not let you select. If this happens, use Microsoft Edge. This happened when we were initially registering with gesy and our doctor showed us how to register and he was using edge. It happened again today when I tried to book an appointment.

I had not seen Dominics original post. Last time I went on gesy, it would not let me rebook as it said I already had an appointment. Today it let me rebook.

'Up until 3 pm on Tuesday, just 57% of some 7,500 affected people had rescheduled, suggesting that some mistrust has built up over AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 jab.

Cyprus suspended vaccinations of AstraZeneca on 15 March, restarting on 19 March, pending an investigation of the EU medicine agency (EMA) into some blood clotting cases of people who had recently been vaccinated with the vaccine.

EMA gave the vaccine the all-clear last week; after its safety committee, PRAC concluded the vaccine is “not associated with an increase in the overall risk of thromboembolic events or blood clots.

I went for my reschedule yesterday. People milling around all over the place. They were running 45 mins late, but once inside it was well organised. 4 people at a time waiting at a booth. You are given a sticker on ur hand when you have the vaccine and are not allowed to leave before 15 mins are up. They call ur name so all the ones who tried to push to the front, still had to wait. Palia Electrici.

was a lot of people waiting.

Rosemary had her AstraZeneca jab at Palia Electrici on Monday and I had my rescheduled appointment in Limassol on Tuesday. When Rosemary was there, everyone used the outside seating and there was good social distancing. Limassol, lots of people waiting by the door and no social distancing. Fortunately, enough space to wait away from people but when name was called, had to walk through a group to get into the building.
Rosemary has had no side effects, apart from a sore arm, but I have had flu like symptoms, starting 12 hours after receiving the vaccine. Started feeling ill last night and have had a high temperature and feeling off all day today.

Trev, I read somewhere, no idea where, that the side effects were not as severe for the second jab. Also, it shows the vaccine is working well and setting up defences. Feel a bit better now, 32 hours after having the vaccine.
