Fukushima

Post by Devil »

Tomorrow will be the 10th anniversary of the Fukushima disaster. Of the nearly 20,000 deaths that resulted, practically all of them were as a direct result of the tsunami. Only one death due to exposure to radiation has been recorded, several years later and it is unlikely that there will be any more..

I believe 11 March should be remembered firstly for the massive loss of life from a natural event, secondly for the loss of life of a single person from man-made radiation, thirdly for the great efforts by the authorities to protect the population and, finally, with good wishes for many of the people who were evacuated and can now return home.

Hopefully, this will never be repeated anywhere in the world but it remains a call for the new, safe, nuclear plants, now available, where there is no choice

I am repeating this message on other forums.
