Good, the bus depot should never have been built there in the first place. That area where it was situated is part of the UNESCO Archaeological site. The Antiquities Dept will be pleased.
I was told by one of the Archaeologists that that area is over the ancient inner harbour of the Roman town. No doubt it may be excavated in due course. Before it was annexed over the course of a long week end, it was tarmaced and used for car parking which was acceptable
as that doesn't damage the archaeology beneath it.
