Watched it all unfold as I was walking nearby. There have been many such parties during this lockdown on Paramali Beach so it was good to finally see the SBA police take some action. Odd that none of the police had face masks on . They seemed to be chatting to the guilty parties quite happily I did wonder if they were not going to do too much. Strange that there were several others sitting on the beach but in pairs not as a group and they were left alone.
Anyway their presence had the desired effect as the road to the beach last Sunday was full of cars heading towards the beach then doing frantic three point turns when they saw the police cars and racing back to the B6 .

When it was warmer earlier in the month, and we were still under strict lockdown, I saw an elderly couple on the beach, sitting on outdoor chairs, with a small fishing rod, not the beach casters the locals use. I think it was being used as a prop, to allow them to sit on the beach, as they had a picnic with them but I could be wrong and jumping to conclusions again.

That doesn't seem too bad to me... if fishermen can stay in the same position for hours..
The virus is less likely to spread outside in the open air .Also many of the elderly people are
either already vaccinated or about to be.
