Heathrow Airport has added a new £8.90 (~$12.20) tax to all flight tickets from all airlines taking off at the largest UK airport..

Just read also that Gatwick are now charging £5 to drop off outside the terminal and the free drop off is a bus ride away.

At least these extra charges apply to the people actually using the facilities.

It isn't a tax. You are just paying for the enhanced measures that you have to have. Why shouldn't you?
