Anybody know what's happening with this text system next week, i.e. as from 8th Feb?
We have a kid at school so presumably will need to send one message to take him, and another to pick him up. Which leaves no messages for anything else.
Has anyone in government even thought of this?

A text is NOT required when picking children up from school, kindergarten etc.https://scontent.fnic2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/ ... e=60441EAD

Thanks for replying, I should have mentioned our kid is in year 3 of primary, the exceptions seem to apply to younger children.
Re: 8998 texts
It's a question asked of the school my daughter goes to but as yet no answer as you rightly say the guidelines are for kindergarten and pre-primary pupils not primary or seniors. It's a 50 minute round journey for me twice a day so would have to incorporate shopping exercise etc with in the 2 texts if required .

If you'd like further clarification, call the helpline on 1474 and also ask your school for a letter.
