Permitted areas allowed to walk for exercise?
Re: Permitted areas allowed to walk for exercise?
I have been out again this morning down to Paphos.. This time I have see the Police pulling cars over, presumably checking they have the correct permission to be out
Trev..
Re: Permitted areas allowed to walk for exercise?
I would just use option 6 or 8. I can't imagine the police will be out in the middle of the countryside looking for random people. If they were desperate to fine people they would be better off sticking to the town centres.cyprusmax47 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 10:36 am It is still not clarified if I am allowed for a walk or some exercise (crystal hunting...) in the countryside in places where normally nobody appears. (only hunters on Wed/Sun) It would be crazy to get a fine at these places...![]()

Dominic is correct. You can walk within 500m of your residence WITHOUT an sms. You can go out for up to 3 hrs WITH an sms for dog walking.
Re: Permitted areas allowed to walk for exercise?
We'll also be driving out into the countryside to talk a walk. Much safer as there's no one about.

Re: Permitted areas allowed to walk for exercise?
I don't think that Max needs to worry for what he wants to do. I doubt that there will be any problem when taking a walk deep in the rural areas, though taking ID docs with him would be wise.. The police will probably be busy with their priorities, ie checkpoints on main roads and the highway. Also in and around towns in places where people may congregate. But probably a number of them will be working in the hours of darkness when the curfew is in force.
