Looka like a Wolf spider Sometimes called Cyprus Taratula

It could be a huntsman. They are harmless and can get very large. Great for keeping other beasties at bay.

Yes, it is a Huntsman. Nearly but not quite harmless. Very large ones (>50 mm) can give you a little nip. My webpage on the subject is at http://www.bnellis.eu/nature/natspider.html

Take care with spiders, a couple of years ago my wife had a bite from a spider, while sitting at home, and ended up in hospital for a week, with constant drips going into her.

Spider bit my wife, that I know,,, I dont have a clue what type it was, I was just giving people a general lookout, no more no less.
