It shows an error message normally indicative of a hard disk issue.

If they have a technical problem it will probably result in a backup being restored. Given the time of year this could take longer than usual.

I would give them a few days before you write their orbituary. I do know that Neil is active on Facebook so you could try asking him there.

That's entirely up to them. I am locking this now. If somebody is trying to get it back up again, I know first-hand that it is a fairly thankless task. All I can say is the best of luck, and I hope the backup works. :)
