Re: Snakes still about?
Sun was out today and felt warm in direct sunlight, so snakes could be active. When I was out on my bike this morning I was still hearing lots of rustling in grass as I was riding. Temperatures today similar to March when snakes begin to be active again, around 21c.

Snakes still out and about seen a couple of Black whip snakes and a BN Viper recently at the golf course obviously getting the last of the Suns heat before hibernating

I too would think with the sunshine today that it could well be a snake bite. Especially with the Black (dying skin) around the bite.. I sincerely hope that the cat makes a good recovery..
This will act as a warning to me as I walk our dog on concrete tracks but with thick undergrowth at the sides in places..

They’re a worry aren’t they, guess that’s the downside of their independence.
My adopted deaf girl died after drowning in our pool earlier this year, she had a morbid fascination with water, and that was her downfall.
She had neurological issues too which didn’t help as her balance could be shocking

If you never ask the question, the answer will always be....no
