Amazing woodcutting at Tesla's Mega Factory Berlin

Post by cyprusmax47 »

Tesla is extending their area in order to have more space for the planned battery factory at Berlin. How professional the woodcutting is done one can see on that latest drone video from minute 15.38 to 19.00... amazing!

Was there no other location in Germany

without the need to cut trees down?

Those Pine forests are planted for the wood and have a very limited life span, in the same way as Pine forests across the UK are grown for wood production and a suitable area of poor quality ground will be used to grow the same again.

Yes. It's like getting upset every time they harvest wheat.

I wasn’t getting upset, I thought it was a valid question about such a forward thinking company and sustainability of the planet.

Exactly, this was the reason why in Germany this type of pine wood was planted to grow quick on poor sandy soil as a industrial product. The only difference is that in the UK 13% of the area is tree-covered,(31.000 km2) while in Germany it is 33% (114.000 km2). People there are more concerned about the wildlife (snakes, lizards) disturbed, but Tesla promised to resettle these creatures before cutting the trees.. :?:
